African Golden Oriole (Oriolus Auratus)They live in Sub-Saharan Africa
The male is a striking bird with black and yellow plumage, the female is a more understated green colour. They live in Sub-Saharan Africa, feeding on insects and fruit. African Golden Orioles build inventive hanging basket-shaped nests, between two branches in a tree. They usually lay 2 to 3 eggs, which are fed by both parents the chicks will leave the nest after 15 days.
Another species called the Eurasian Golden Oriole can be found in the UK they migrate to Europe in the summer time. They are very secretive and difficult to see but they can be found on the south and east coasts of England from May to August. Listening to their song is the best way to locate them.
